This Full Blown Flame

I can now safely say that the fire of creativity is about as hot and alive as the glory hole in the glass blowers studio...I am happily feeding this feeling with little projects everyday...I realized I was back when just over the weekend I managed to produce two amazing little pieces and work on others while planning one big job I have to dedicate the next coming weeks to working on...I happy, and its true...making all the other stuff just seem like a simple task now that I have my feeling back...What made me realize the feeling was back was when out of an idea I saw on TV manifested its way into another but very similar looking...

It involved beans and foam balls and candles. The show "Creative Juice" is exactly what its called for me as an artist...At times I have this great idea or want to complete a thought and just cant seem to be able to get the words and materials in my head to full fill it...With this show its a kinda fill in the blanks for me...I saw an episode that had these bean covered foam ball candle holders...This being a brilliant idea, was already done and id only do this as a gift for someone (now that I think of it, it would be a great gift) or for my own home...So I wanted to take this idea and use it in another way...Knowing I had a large bag of dry beans in the cabinet it was only a matter of time before I knew what to do...And over the weekend as I washed this glass bowl out eureka hit me in the face...And the next evening I got to work...One hour later.....

I was one of those projects I can repeat over and over since this type of repetetive work keeps me alive...I might just cover another glass obejct in beans in the next weekend...If I find that free hour...Because I sure do have another bag and a half of beans left...

Roush is here!

And to the stage we now have Roush... The third sister that has joined the small family...Roush was made the same way as her sisters Shelby and Saleen... Cleaned, primed and painted...In this case I didnt add hair, she had long hair but the better part of the mane was matted...The good part I salvaged and kept on her head and tail...

The Design is my won variation of stained glass...Inspired by some nail art I had seen months ago...By far She is the prettiest of the three...But I only say that since I haven't began work on the last sister, Steeda...All Four are named after mustang models just in case anybody wonders where I get these names from...

Here Comes Saleen

Finally She has arrived...Saleen...Inspired by a spotted sea horse...The colors just came to me and began to work...Once a purple unicorn...Went through some priming, head and hair removal...Then a couple layers of paint...

I had some old hair of mine and I knew it would fit perfectly...Just like the hair on Shelby, Saleen would be part me...And it couldn't have been better imagined since the hair I had was green...The hardest part is getting that hair through the small hole on the bum...But once it was in it was glorious and perfect...

Then after a full day of painting dots I was done with the bulk of the work...So I thought, then I realized she needed a crest, not  a mane...And this on its own would be a even harder task...After some mental planning I began adhering the hair to the leather and soon enough the mane was dry and ready to be set in place...Saleen took what seemed like forever...But she is done and ready for her closeup...Enjoy

I dream of Space, amongst other things..

I dream of Space...Not Space like the stars and the universe.. But space for my supplies...Space to make art in that doesn't involve my bedroom, living room, kitchen, or sometimes the bathroom...The picture above is just a glimpse of what I want...Its clean its organized and there is a place for everything...

Right now I have so much stuff that my room just cant handle it...I use it all whether now or later and I need it all...I am excellent at collecting items for present or future use...But unlike a hoarder I actually use the items I collect...   Ugh that's all I can say now about this, I have lost my train of thought....
